Brief History

PT. Bahana Gourmet Indonesia has two logistic and operational bases, one in Jakarta and one in Bali. The Bali office started its operation in March 2008 and the newly opened branch in Jakarta started its operation in March 2009.

The Founders

Founded originally by Mr. Jerald Shield in 1989 with the name of  PT Elena Great International with both bases in Jakarta and Bali. In 2003,  this company changed name into PT. Gourmet Indonesia Jakarta, with a branch in Bali. Upon change of ownership in March 2008, the company changed its name once again into the current, PT. Bahana Gourmet Indonesia.

Vision and Mission

Vision: To be a well known and reputable company by providing our customers with superior service, value and a true one-stop shopping venue for high quality gourmet products.

Mission:

1. -To keep pace with, and exceed customer needs by investing in infrastructure and premium standard of warehousing facilities.
2. -To constantly search for new, quality products, in order to provide greater range of premium gourmet products as well as cost effectiveness to our customers.

Position in market competitions

BGI is taking market share by concentrating on the upper market (premium quality) segment with strategising in the most efficient logistics as well as staffing. Another advantage of BGI’s operation is the flexibility to assist on customer needs with custom-made solutions.
